They produce hot and cold cups, as well as an extensive lineup of paper and plastic containers. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play an integral part of keeping the plastic inline extrusionthermoforming and paper cup production running smoothly. You will bring your strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You enjoy troubleshooting and working independently and part of a team to achieve results. Must be willing and able to commute to other facility when needed, approximately 30 miles away. What you will be doing...Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, and circuitsInstalling and aligning new equipmentPerforming periodic proactive equipment work, such as maintenance machine analysis, preventative maintenance, and other tasks to improve reliability and up-timeInstalling and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, belts, and couplingsMaintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, control devices, hydraulic equipment, circuits and componentsPerforming daily preventative maintenanceReading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematicsWorking with the manufacturing and Maintenance Personnel to identify and prioritize maintenance needsHelping meet or exceed production and quality goals while optimizing equipment to reduce wasteAdhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety programUsing pipe-fitting skills to weld, cut, fit and install piping throughout the facilityFabrication and assembly of simple componentsApplying problem solving methods to identify the root cause and eliminate failures Why this is the right job for you... High school diploma or GEDAt least three (3) years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environmentAt least two (2) years of experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAt least three (3) years of experience with installation, calibration, fabrication, and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environmentExperience troubleshooting issues with motors, bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyorsExperience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps and lubricationExperience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawingsExperience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts preferredExperience with fabrication and welding considered an assetPrevious exposure to plastic extrusion andor thermoforming processing equipment preferredWilling and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment; e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE as required by specific jobAble to perform repetitive hand, wrist, body twist and bend, grasping and pinching, and kneeling, squatting, and climbing tasks.Strong attention to detail and good communication skillsAbility to stand for extended periods.Ability to lift heavy objects.Ability to work after-hours when required.
