Our client is currently seeking a Building EngineerThe Condominium is a two-building residential facility with 196 condos ranging from studio to two bedrooms. Completed in 1960, the buildings and facilities are actively and carefully maintained. Description: The Condominium Building Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the physical systems of the building, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents. This role involves a blend of hands-on technical work, supervisory responsibilities, and resident interaction to address a wide range of maintenance and repair issues. Responsibilities: Oversee and perform routine maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, to ensure optimal operating conditions. Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, providing solutions to ensure resident satisfaction and safety. Supervise and coordinate activities of external contractors, ensuring compliance with building policies and quality standards. Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices to reduce operating costs and environmental impact. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and inventory of supplies and equipment. Collaborate with property management to develop and adhere to the annual maintenance budget. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and building codes. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing concerns and feedback with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements:Associate's degree or vocational training in engineering, facilities management, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance or engineering, preferably in a condominium, apartment complex, or hotel setting. MUST HAVE: Chiller & Boiler experienceProficient knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations. Certification or licensure in a related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical) is a plus. Availability for on-call emergency response outside of regular business hours.
