Sales Associate - Roman and Williams GuildRoman and Williams Buildings and Interiors, founded by Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch in 2002, is known for creating memorable spaces and enduring objects. In December 2017, they opened Roman and Williams Guild, a dynamic retail venture in the heart of SoHo, New York. RW Guild is searching for a seasoned Sales Associate with strong selling skills and team spirit that will take our team to new heights. Sales positions at RW Guild are exciting and dynamic - crossing the worlds of custom furniture & lighting, design, and fine art. We have built a unique brand with many entry points (our main showroom, our restaurant La Mercerie, our Gallery, our website, and our events) and guiding people through our ecosystem is a fulfilling experience based in authenticity and education, helping our clients elevate their everyday by living with art. Having a direct connection to the artists, master craftsmen and designers we represent is what drives our passionate team. The ideal candidate will be driven, goal-oriented, entrepreneurial and able to smoothly transition into the Guild brand. Focusing on partnering with our Sr. Sales Executive to assure that day to day tasks and necessary floor coverage are always considered priority. The Sales Associate will have a strong inter-personal skills, experience in home goods, fine art, design, andor furniture retail.The Sales Associate will be reporting to the Sr. Sales Executive.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Use product information and design knowledge to show and explain merchandise features and benefitsUse product knowledge and selling techniques to drive sales that will contribute towards store and individual sales goalsPartner with Senior Sales Specialists as appropriate to client needsClose the sale, enter customer orders and recap of appointmentsSuggest additional items based on assessing customer needs post visitHelp customers in a courteous, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic mannerDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Guild products and brand visionProvide product feedback that will enhance product offering to clientsParticipate in ongoing product training with the buying teamAct as customer care when necessary, providing full and complete information in a timely manner to support the resolution of all client service issuesParticipate in marketing activities and events at the Guild to support building client relationshipsTake initiative to fulfill customer needs in a timely and appropriate mannerDemonstrate an enthusiasm for design, including designers and the design industry Skills & RequirementsPrevious retail sales experience requiredSuperior communications skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to identify clients' needs and provide a dynamic client experienceDesign savvy with a love for Home FurnishingsAttention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skillsAbility to work nights and weekendsREQUIREMENTS:Experienced background in Luxury RetailConsistent track record of success in a sales positionGoal oriented and a team playerExcellent time managementproject skillsComputer proficiency with MS Office; Outlook, Excel, WordExcellent communication - verbal and written.Ability to recognize and react to changing work demandsMust be able to pack, unpack and move stock when supporting in receiving stocking functions.Availability to work nights and weekends (a typical shift would be 12pm-9pm)Ability to work throughout holiday season
