Join a community of growth where you will be supported and where your work makes a difference.As our Program Medication Nurse, you will provide nursing care to students, perform health assessments and participate in nursing diagnosis, planning, and monitoring in collaboration with the Nurse Practitioner and physician; This is an 11 month position (paid over 12 months) with no night, weekend, or holiday shifts and school breaks off. The position is suitable for a new grad through early career nurse. Responsibilities:"‹Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with educational, residential and clinical staff to ensure the healthcare needs of each student are appropriately managed.Provides direction, training and monitoring of designated residential staff in the administration of medications.Serves as liaison in communicating and interacting with students, their families and others to assist with the coordination of healthcare for individual students.Adheres to health services policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies; ensuring quality of services meets appropriate nursing standards of care.Participates in professional growth and development through participation in continuing education programs.Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned.Medication order ReviewOverseas medication administrationAssistance with Electronic Medication AdministrationMedication administration for 2 shifts 7am-3pm and 1pm-9pmSupport with triaging health related considerationsPart of the student emergency response teamLiaison between cottages and program nursesAdheres to health services policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies; ensuring quality of services meets appropriate nursing standards of care.Performs other related duties and task as assigned.Education andor ExperienceBachelor's degree from a recognized college or universityValid registered nursing license required with two years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities; andor equivalent combination of education and experience;"‹Certificates, Licenses, Registrations"‹Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
