Job Description:

The Vice President of Card Services is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic direction, development, and management of all aspects of the credit union's card services, including credit, debit, and prepaid card products. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the payments industry, including relationships with Visa and PSCU, to drive growth, enhance member experience, and ensure compliance with regulations.Essential Responsibilities:Develop and execute a comprehensive card services strategy aligned with the credit union's overall goals and objectives.Manage and enhance existing card programs, including credit, debit, and prepaid cards, to drive revenue growth and increase member engagement.Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including Visa and PSCU, to leverage their products, services, and expertise.Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and risks and recommend appropriate actions.Lead a team of card services professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of card services.Evaluate the Credit Union's card program and performance, providing enhanced effectiveness and efficiency recommendations.Prepare and present reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.Build a card analytics program to analyze card transaction data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement in card services.Collaborate with senior leadership to develop member-focused, cross-functional priorities aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies, accelerating growth, and achieving enterprise-scale goals.Oversee cardholder dispute resolution process, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of disputes in compliance with regulations.Manage cardholder account reconciliation process, including monitoring and resolving discrepancies.Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to card services, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.Build a culture of accountability and autonomy by empowering associates to identify issues, dependencies, and to make decisions.Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to conduct regular reviews and audits of card services operations.Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies in card services to drive innovation and improve efficiency. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; MBA a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience in card services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (manager or higher).Requires working knowledge of National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) regulations, North Carolina Credit Union Law and Rules and Regulations, MasterCardVisa regulations, Regulation E, PCI DSS, Fair Credit Billing Act, as well Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rules, Truth in Leding (Reg Z), Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.Proven record of successfully managing card programs, driving revenue growth, and enhancing member -depth experience with various payment processing technologies, including EMV chip technology, contactless payments, and mobile wallets.Experience with card reissuance and conversions a plus.Strong understanding of the payments industry, including regulations, trends, and technologies.Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks and drive innovative solutions.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Benefits: We provide a challenging and friendly work environment as well as a competitive salary and benefits package including an employer-paid medical insurance plan, 401(k) plan (with a substantial company match), employer paid life and disability plan and generous paid time off to maintain a healthy worklife balance.Latino Community Credit Union is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
