Job Description:

PE-backed distribution and warehousing company is seeking a leader for their new eCommerce and 3PL business unit. This new company leverages the parent company's expertise in warehouse management, order fulfillment, and eCommerce to offer customers 3PL and eCommerce solutions. Their competitive niche is offering these services at competitive rates to small and medium-sized companies that the bigger 3PLs don't service as well as leveraging decades of eCommerce marketing and fulfillment expertise to increase customer sales and manage the warehousing and fulfillment for their customers.The VP of business developmentGM will be responsible for generating sales for this new offering, managing these customers post-sale, as well as working with the internal operations team to ensure the company is successfully meeting the terms of the contracts etc.This individual will manage the current sales funnel and client base and develop new sales strategies to increase their leads database. They will also attend trade shows to generate new leads and customers.The VP will continuously refine the business unit's value proposition and work with the CEO to develop new services and revenue opportunities with new and existing customers.The company is seeking a VP with a strong history of sales success in the 3PL or eCommerce space that can quickly hit the ground and make progress towards their sales goals in 2024.
