The HVAC Business Development Manager primary responsibilities includes increasing Mitsubishi & Gree commercial Smart Multi VRF sales growth, promotional activities, new product introductions, problem resolution, employee and customer training, and may include quoting systems and design. Added responsibility to master the commercial technical aspects and fully immersed in all manufacturer Commercial VRF programs and trainings. Understanding that a combination of customer service excellence and maximized program promotion will drive sales, this position partners with sales management, technical support, Mitsubishi field representatives, Bell Simons Territory Managers, and Branch Managers to call on customers while identifying important changes in the competitive landscape. What you'll be doing:Owner and driver of the Commercial VRF business throughout Bell Simons, matrixed supervisory responsibility, no direct reports.Leads by example in all staff and customer dealings in person, on the phone, and in written communication.Supports and adheres to company policies and procedures, most especially those commonly challenged in the workplace such as dress code, attendance, professionalism, and productivity. Seeks supervisor and HR partnerships in addressing issues as needed. Approaches all employment matters with a solution oriented, professional, and legally compliant municates routinely with all stakeholders to maximize sales opportunities.Supports valued business relationships in all dealings and provides excellent customer service through timely response, problem resolution or escalation with effective and efficient follow-up.Addresses customers politely and professionally in a courteous manner, even in difficult situations.Promptly responds to customer inquiries via phone, email, or fax in a professional manner.Establishes and maintains professional business dealings with customers and vendors at all times.Properly communicates customer issues with appropriate company personnel and itiates trainings, meets face to face regularly with dealersAfter hours or weekend entertainment or travel could be required.Collaborates with various staff on products that we should or should not be stocking.Develops training plans for current territory managers, counter employees, and customer service representatives on all VRF Commercial products and accessories.Partners with the management team on sales forecasting to ensure proper stock of Mitsubishi Gree lines and any required accessories.Analyzes and reviews the competitive market and presents findings to management team.Partners with the marketing team on the best practices to market ductless products.Demonstrates knowledge of ductless product lines with proficiency and detail. Achieves company objectives for sales growth with existing customers. Achieves company objectives for new account sales. Assists in preparation of and execution of annual company sales plan. Participates in and promotes vendor-based marketing programs with targeted vendors. Develops and executes the brand specific annual sales plan in conjunction with the director of sales and the marketing team. Participates in the creation of an annual competitive pricing analysis that includes a market review and formal submission to applicable vendors. Acts at the gatekeeper who sets quantity pricing or special pricing based on customer needs. Expertly obtains and verifies required needed information. Utilizes sound business judgment and recommends realistic solutions to customer problems.Anticipates and demonstrates proactive action to minimize potential issues. Responds with a sense of urgency when confronted with critical customer service, collection, or equipment performance-related issues. Demonstrates the ability to make critical, difficult decisions in matters of importance when appropriate. Demonstrates organization, discipline and follow through of administrative functions. Safeguards the release of proprietary information, company documents and other confidential data and information. Presents marketing programs to customers that include promotions, flyers, specials, training, etc. as directed. Demonstrates proficiency and knowledge in all marketing programs, promotions, and support available from all vendors. Completes pricing studies as required. Communicates dealer pricing and price sheets to customers as required. Demonstrates proficiency in the proper use of company ERP system(s) and adheres to following company procedures and directives in the use of the system. Demonstrates proficiency in planning, organizing, and making presentations verbally and in written format. Attends training sessions as required. Travel as needed.Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job, such as data entry, messaging, call logs, data notations, queue updates, batching, or other job and office functions and requirements.Other duties as assigned.
