We actively contribute to company improvements, are accountable for our work and quality is ingrained in our culture and key to VSi's success.The Position:Hands on Engineer with a high level of technical expertise and skill, which is used to plan, design, setup, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processes. Supports manufacturing processes to produce high quality goods efficiently using the most cost-effective methods.Production and sustaining process engineer, with the ability to think analytically and creatively. Able to operate on their own initiative but also contribute as a team member working with operators, other engineers and other professionals in areas such as finance and health and safety.Starting salary is dependent upon experience.We offer health, dental, vision insurance, 7 paid holidays, PTO each year, annual bonuses, and matching 401K contributions.Responsibilities and essential job functions:Spearhead process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and automation techniques.Analyze production metrics to identify and implement efficiency enhancements.Minimize equipment downtime and scrap, supporting production in achieving optimal performance.Lead and energize teams in continuous improvement and change management efforts.Promote and implement the 5S methodology to enhance workplace organization and efficiency.Address nonconformities by determining root causes and executing corrective measures.Troubleshoot and maintain equipment, fixtures, and tooling.To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering5-10+ years of experience in manufacturing environments, with a strong preference for those experienced in medical device manufacturing.Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and projects, with a knack for motivating and guiding team members towards success.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in ISO 9001 andor ISO 13485 manufacturing environments, with a focus on medical devices.Proficiency in lean manufacturing, process qualification, and validationStrong mechanical aptitude and experience with hand assembly operations.Excellent management, planning, and leadership capabilitiesRobust problem-solving, collaboration, and multitasking skills.Familiarity with CAD, Matlab, and other relevant software tools.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems, meet deadlines and stay within budget.Required Soft Skills:Can-Do attitude, and willingness to get your hands dirty.A learn it all mentality.Detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills.Supportive, patient, and willing to mentorshare knowledge with colleagues.Tolerance for the realities of continuous improvement efforts and product development.The Location:VSi Parylene is based in Broomfield, CO in the award-winning Interlocken Business Park.
