Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and motivated Roadway Engineer to join our team. As a Roadway Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of transportation infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with consultants, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, and effectively communicating updates to colleagues and leadership.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineers, surveyors, and urban planners, to develop roadway designs and improvements.Conduct feasibility studies and assess existing road conditions to identify areas for enhancement.Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for road construction and rehabilitation projects.Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and government agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits.Oversee the implementation of road repaving, ADA ramp installations, sidewalk repairs, and complete overhaul projects.Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project schedules.Manage project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and address any budgetary constraints.Conduct site visits and inspections to verify construction quality and compliance with design specifications.Collaborate with peers and leadership to provide regular project updates and address any challenges.Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to roadway engineering.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.3-8 years of experience in roadway design, construction, or transportation engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other relevant design software.Familiarity with local, state, and federal transportation standards and guidelines.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not mandatory.If you are passionate about improving transportation infrastructure, have experience in roadway engineering, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply!
