Job Description:

Seeking a Lab Tech to join a Food company in the Swedesboro, NJ area. JOB SUMMARY:Monitors the quality assurance activities of all raw materials, in-process and finished products. Ensures operations compliance with HACCP and GMPs. Ensures Sanitation department is complying with SSOPs and Master Sanitation Schedule.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Ensure compliance with HACCP and GMPs for all operational activities• Conduct sampling and analytical testing of products• Monitor and maintain raw materials, in-process and finished product traceability log• Liaise with production in monitoring production processes to ensure proper operational setting• Keep log of analytical data of all laboratory analysis• Prepare samples aseptically for customers and external laboratories• Prepare samples for sensory evaluation• Conduct environmental monitoring sampling, GMP audit and glass and brittle plastics audit• Perform daily plant GMP audits ensuring that plant sanitation is conducted according to Master Sanitation Program Schedule to meet the expected standards.• Give product release approvals and prepare certificate of analysis• Conduct calibration and maintenance of lab equipment• Prepare reagents for chemical analysis• Train and supervise the sanitation workers• Other jobs as assigned by QA ManagerSQF PractitionerRequirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Food Science or other related science major.
