This role is a full-time position for a degreed architect, licensed or working towards licensure, with 5 or more years of general full-time experience.The ideal candidate will be inquiring, detail-oriented, and an active listener, with strong English communication skills, and will work collaboratively with all project partners to be an active design participant within an award-winning architecture, engineering, and construction services firm.Responsibilities include master planning, space programming, and facility planning support, development of design concepts and detailing into a complete set of construction documents, the coordination of components designed by engineers and other consultants, assistance in clarifying the design intent throughout the bidding and negotiation phase, and assistance throughout the construction phase including the approval of submittals and resolving construction conflicts. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate work between our design team and others such as contractors, utility companies, and the authorities having jurisdiction.This is a hands-on position that will require the ability to create and present design concepts and then subsequently assist with the production of high-quality construction documents as needed for competitive bidding purposes. The role requires on-going project support throughout the bidding and construction phases. Our clients often require us to meet with them outside normal business hours, i.e., evenings and occasionally on weekends.
