Safety is a Shared Responsibility and Yonkers Contracting Company, has an opportunity for a Site Safety Manger to join our team in Gowanus, Brookyn! Qualified candidates must have 5-7 years of civil contracting experience. Familiarity with NYC & NYS DEP a plus. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Site Safety Manager administers the safety program and serves as the safety advisor, ensuring safety compliance by the project team, all union labor and subcontractors working at the site.Essential Duties include, but are not limited to: project specific safety efforts and promote Yonkers Contracting Safety First cultureimplement site-specific safety programemployees & subcontractors' adherence to the site-specific safety & health plansite-safety orientation for all employees assigned to the siteandor coordinate worker training, maintain training recordsanticipation, recognition, evaluation, and controlproper use of personal safety protective equipmentdaily safety inspection and Safety tool talksand report all accidentstrack and ensure all certifications are currentall safety related documentationaudits: safety, inspect facilities, machinery and safety equipment, compliance documentationtechnical guidance and coachingExperience: 5-7 years of construction safety management experiencewith NYC & NYS DEP (a plus)Hazwoper 40 HourOSHA 30MPTSkills are essential - Word and Excelhave valid driver's license (will require authorization for a motor vehicle report)provide valid identification to work in the U.S (form I9)Attributes:to take direction, prioritize, execute, and problem solve in a high-pressure environment; must be highly organized and work effectively within given time constraintseffective communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects, interpersonal skills.
