Boasting over 700 successful ideas, our extensive line not only mirrors our history but underlines our commitment to staying ahead through continuous market research and customer feedback. The Assembly and Packing Supervisor oversees the day to day operations of the department.  The objective is to direct activities in order to meet customer expectations of quality and delivery in the most cost effective manner possible. The right candidate will have a drive towards continuous improvement and understands the importance of collaboration with the other departments.  Responsibilities:Directly supervises the day to day duties and job functions of the department.Ensures team produces finished goods to consistently meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.Helps drive process improvements in the department.Documents SOP's to ensure standardization of workflow. Compiles and analyzes production data for formal and informal team meetings.General supervisory tasks of time card approval, vacation approvals, and annual performance reviews.Works with HR to document and resolve escalated worker grievances.Occasionally works on Saturdays during peak production times.(2nd and 4th Quarters)Assists with special projects as requested. Competencies:CommunicationAbility to delegateTeam PlayerProcess improvementQuality ManagementStress Management, Ethics and IntegrityQualificationsAssociates Degree or Equivalent Experience 5+ years of related experience in a small to medium-sized manufacturing company with short lead timesExposure to Lean Manufacturing Concepts including 5S and Waste EliminationExperience in a Union productionmanufacturing environment preferred but not requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills.Bilingual (English and Spanish). Highly PreferredExperience with NetSuite a plus.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical requirements of the job are of a moderate nature. Walking, crouching, standing, sitting and some lifting, twisting, bending is required. This is not a sedentary role.
