Job Description:

MRV Consulting is offering an opportunity for engineering undergraduates to gain professional development experience in the business consulting field. As an Associate Consultant in our Machinery and Technical Specialties practice, you will gain experience in valuation, cost segregation studies, purchase price allocation, and appraisal assignments while applying your engineering knowledge to address business-related matters. Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop cost estimation of construction projects, machinery and equipment, commercial and industrial facilities, and utilities utilizing costing manuals such as Handy-Whitman, Marshall & Swift, and RS Means.Analyze technical specifications, site plans, engineering and construction drawings, construction payment requisitions, and other documentation.Data consolidation (research, collect, verify completeness, reliability, and accuracy).Prepare blueprint and quantity takeoffs, spreadsheets, and reports.Participate in site visits.Timely delivery of high-quality work products.Client interfacing related to research and information requests.Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships.Job Requirements Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial).Interest in the business consulting field.KnowledgeInterest in energy and utilities, electric power generation, commercial and industrial real estate.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Acrobat.Outstanding research, analytical, and spreadsheet skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and in fortable with a technology-driven environment.Able to travel within the US and internationally.Professional demeanor, integrity, respect, and teamwork.Excellent writing skills and effective communication.Prior work experience is not required as on-the-job training is tegrate engineering knowledge with valuation and appraisal techniques.Fluency in English (submit your cover letter as an attachment or together with your resume as one document).DetailsPosition Type: Full-time, Entry-level position for engineersBenefits: Medical, dental, 401K, paid time off, discretionary spot, annual, and holiday bonuses, professional development, and continuing education reimbursement.Location: Colts Neck, New JerseySchedule: 8am-6:30pm MON-FRIApplication Procedure We appreciate your interest in MRV Consulting, an equal-opportunity employer.
