Responsible for the commissioning and acceptance testing of new equipment and technical procedures, participating in peer review and keeping current on current and future technological developments within the field. Provide technical expertise when consulting with physicians, physicists and Dosimetrists. Calibrate and maintain linear accelerators. Perform various administrative functions. Calibrate and maintain brachytherapy program. Perform treatment planning and quality assurance on 3-dimensional computer treatment planning system. Keep up-to-date in the professional literature regarding current techniques and new procedures. Perform peer and subordinate review. Perform and participate in research activities.Qualifications Must be certified by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics. Hold a current Florida Therapeutic Radiological Physicist license from the Department of HRS, Division of Medical Quality Assurance. Masters of Science degree in Medical Physics from an accredited university or college Must have at least three years of clinical (LDR, HDR, Simulation, IMRT. Linear Accelerator) experience as a Therapeutic Radiological Physicist.
