Senior AccountantA local investment manager is looking for a knowledgeable self-starter to join the team as a Senior Accountant. This person will contribute at all levels and assist in the overall fiscal control of the organization, including accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliations, cash receipts, disbursements, auditing, grant billings, reconciliations, and reporting. The Senior Accountant will directly report to and support the Controller during the month-end and year-end close. If you are interested and meet the qualifications below, apply with your resume today!Applicants must be able to work onsite in Boston according to the client's hybrid work schedule to be eligible for this position.Responsibilities:Maintain accurate Accounting records and prepare standard daily and monthly reportsReconcile balance sheet accounts monthly for cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed asset, deferred revenue, and accrual accountsResearch and resolve reconciliation inquiries and discrepanciesOwn various Accounts Receivable functions including grant billing and reconciliationInteract directly with auditors and provide supporting documentation as neededReview trial balance with Controller for unusual fluctuationsGenerate annual reports as required by State and Federal laws and regulationsAdhere to standard practice internal control procedures for all aspects of AccountingAssess efficacy of Finance procedures periodically to identify areas for improvement and implement solutionsProvide training to staff on financial processes, updates, and compliance mattersEnsure high level of satisfaction, trust, and reliability for leadership, staff, and partners by facilitating team achievement of performance goalsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required4+ years of Accounting experience in related function requiredKnowledge of GAAP Extensive knowledge of financial statements, and complianceIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredHighly capable self-starter; able to prioritize multiple deadlines and projectsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, staff, volunteers, and peersAble to exercise appropriate discretion when handling confidential informationExtremely detail-oriented, accurate, and analytical thinker and problem solverOur Commitment to Diversity, Equity & InclusionThe Hollister Group is an equal opportunity employer.
