The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling advanced technical issues that cannot be resolved by Tier 1 and Tier 2 support staff. In their day-to-day they will be expected to provide boots on the ground IT infrastructure support, and assist with troubleshooting escalated Windows OS endpoint issuers, utilize virtualization technologies like VMware or Citrix virtual desktops, provide network engineering assistance to the managed services provider engineers on Cisco routers and switches, Meraki firewalls and wireless access points, and maintain and configure endpoint imaging systems. Experience with VoIP systems like RingCentral, Cisco Call Manager, 8x8, etc. is a big plus. They are also responsible for set-up, install, troubleshooting, servicing, upgrades, and maintenance of computers, smartphones, printers, and other similar devices. This candidate should be local to the South Shore in Massachusetts and will work onsite in Braintree and is required to travel to other locations all within 30 mins of Braintree for the client and be a very hands on senior support resource for the team. This "jack of all trades" tier 3 engineer is expected to have a wide experience with infrastructure technologies and provide back-end support to the clients managed services provider, often dealing with complex server, network, and hardware problems. Knowledge in broad aspects of computer support, diligent and analytical, possessing outstanding communication skills and working independently is crucial to succeed.
