POSITION TITLE: P&C Electrical EngineerLOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA - Fully onsite DURATION: PermMUST HAVES:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 5-10 years as an electrical engineer with experience in protection and controlMust be a certified EIT or PE (PE is preferred) Experience designing within utilities (substation, transmission line equipment, transformer)Experience using AutoCAD PLUSSES:Experience using MicroStation Responsibilities:Advanced understanding of protection and control fundamentals as they apply to utility substation and transmission line equipmentProficient in design of protection schemes for substation and transmission line equipment, including bus, line, capacitor and transformer design and protection schemes and associated settingsBasic understanding of substation design to include equipment arrangements.Create substation P&C design project scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules for substation projectsAbility to read, interpret, design, and engineer P&C designs for utility stations through 500kV, including one lines, three lines, ACDC schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and settingsAbility to perform studies and create reports for coordination, voltage drop, fault current, and insulation coordinationVisit sites, advise on P&C engineering issues, and modify design to solve issues during construction and manage budgets and project schedule JOB DESCRIPTION:Insight Global is looking for an Electrical Engineer for a large engineering Client in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will provide substation protection and control design, engineering, technical support, and oversight to a transmission substation engineering and design team. They will deliver safe, cost-effective, and quality engineering and design services and provide technical competency and direction for projects including a wide range of utility substation projects, battery energy storage systems and solar collector pensation:$90,000yr to $114,000yr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
