Job Title: Full-time Product Photographer & Production ManagerWho We Are: Worn & Wound is seeking a talented and versatile photographer to support our leading on-line watch magazine and shop. Founded in 2011, Worn & Wound is the leading resource for news and reviews of watches from all pricepoints. We also operate the Windup Watch Shop, an authorized retailer of watches from a variety of brands, including Hamilton, Oris, Timex, Zodiac, and more. We also operate the Windup Watch Fair, the most well-attended consumer-focused watch event in the US. Along with our focus on watches, we are now becoming a leading voice in the gear and everyday carry space, reviewing cameras, bags, knives, and other tech gear. What We're Looking For: This full-time position located in Brooklyn NY, will be responsible for producing & managing photography content for both our shop and editorial departments along with the commercial department from time to time. The photographer will work alongside all teams to ensure consistent, high quality photography of watches, gear, apparel and more. We are looking for a collaborative person to contribute to the creation of visually compelling content as well as pitch ideasconcepts to the team. You will need to work independently, meet regular deadlines, and pursue opportunities to innovate on and improve our photo activities. You will also be required to produce content outside of the Worn & Wound office, at Worn & Wound events, and at our Windup Watch Fairs on occasion. What You'll Be Doing: Photograph watches and other product for the Windup Watch ShopPhotograph watches for editorial projects (typically lifestyle and macro shots)All photography production will include staging, lighting, editing, and sizing Photography will utilize DSLR or mirrorless camera systems (all necessary equipment will be provided by Worn & Wound)Organize and manage file storage of product imagesEdit content using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and LightroomMaintain photo and video equipment in the office's photography studioAttend industry events (local and abroad) on occasionConceive of, budget for, and execute special photo projects that include identifying off-site locations, managing models and stylists, securing rentals, etc.Coordinate resources and materials to optimize production efficiencyDevelop and manage an interdepartmental production scheduleImplement and monitor quality control procedures that ensure production meets the required Worn & Wound standardsAddress any issues related to production quality and implement corrective actions.What Skills & Experience You'll Bring Us::1-3 years of related product photography experienceExtensive knowledge in Photoshop, Lightroom, Camera Raw, andor Capture OneStrong knowledge of professional camera and lighting (including strobe) equipment Knowledge of or similar traffic system a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsInterest in watches a plus, but not requiredHigh organizational skills Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and valuing a sense of urgencyAbility to work independently to meet deadlines High attention to detail Careful and comfortable handling high end, expensive productsEnthusiastic storytelling through PhotographyStrong team playerStrong skills in creative collaboration Come to creative team with ideas, thoughts, needs for future projectsworkTranslating concepts from leaders into creative visual narrativesAdditional Info: This full time position offers 401k benefits after 6 months of employment13 paid holidays per year and 10 days of paid vacationHealth Plan with portion covered by employer, full dental and vision coverage paid by employerMaternity and Paternity leaveSalary range between 65,000 - 70,000year depending on experience and skill level Please note, this position requires a 40 hour per week commitment and applicants must be located in NY.
