Title: EPC Project Cost EstimatorLocation: RemoteReports to: Sr. Director of Project ExecutionEmployment Type: Full-timeQualifications: 4+ years' experience Basic FunctionThe EPC Project Cost Estimator estimates costs for engineering projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements. The estimator collects and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate, identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs, and updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. The position requires interfacing with project management, engineering, and procurement departments. Typical Duties• Work with design-build firms and manage activities to bring them on-site, get quotes, and discuss and manage key terms• Assist with a request for equipment quotes• Compile cost roll-up sheet for EPC quotes• Create expected cash needs by month for all projects and summarize and deliver expected cash needs at all project kick-off meetings Responsibilities• Develop and maintain design-build partnership list• Provide estimated EPC costs using an analytic model• Provide work with EPC partners to develop firm fixed price EPC costs for engineer projects• Support project team in verifying change orders and keeping EPC estimates consistent with original estimates during detailed design and construction• Manages EPC cost databaseRequired Qualifications• High school diploma, Bachelor's degree preferred• Minimum of 4 years experience estimating EPC and Design-Build project costs• An understanding of basic construction techniques• Ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, respond to changing needs and conditions, and adhere to deadlines• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, small-company environment• Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills• High attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management capabilities• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and solutions-oriented approach
