If you have at least 10 years experience as a Construction Project Manager on federal, industrial or waterwastewater projects, we want to hear from you!JOB DESCRIPTIONReview and modify original job budget established by the estimating departmentReview budget with job superintendent and VP of operations for input and revisionsDevelop a preliminary job schedule for the projectReview schedule with Superintendent, Executive Project Director and VP Operations for input and revisionsUpdate job schedule at least once per month with input from superintendentReview construction means and methods with superintendent to improve job performancePurchase major equipment and materialNegotiate major subcontractor agreements for the projectMonitor the submittal, shop drawing, and purchase order process to insure timely delivery of equipment and materialsManage execution of contracts, bonds, insurance certificates, contract compliance, etc.Manage preparation of extra work proposals and major change ordersMonitor budgets, schedules, cost reports and job progress and review with superintendent on a weekly basisVisit jobs on a regular basis to review effectiveness of site supervision, job progress, quality of work and safety on the jobManage change orders, extra work orders, disputed claims, with owner and owner's representative to a successful conclusionResolve major disputes with vendor and subcontractorProcess payment requisitions through the owner and hisher representativeMentor the development of job superintendents and provide feedback on performanceKeep the senior management staff of the company appraised of job performance and any major conflicts or issues to be resolvedGenerate verbal and written communications required to meet administrative requirements of jobsMonitor the planning for safety on the job, application of safety rules, regulations, and programs applicable to individual job sitesMaintain a positive image of company with vendors, subs, clients and teammatesManage multiple jobs that may account for $15M to $25M in annual volumeCore CompetenciesProven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, high energy, drive, desire to improve and leadership skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of teamOutstanding attention to detailStrong interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, motivation) skillsAbility to work with and manage multiple teammatesThorough knowledge of contract languageThorough understanding of job cost reporting, billing and payable proceduresSupervisory ResponsibilityThis position is responsible for the oversight of teammates and is responsible for the performance management of those teammatesTravelTravel is primarily limited to Northeast jobsite locationsEducation and ExperienceMinimum of 5 + years' experience within the heavy industrial construction industry, preferably with public waterwastewater experienceA bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree requiredExperience with Timberline PM Software highly preferredExperience with Schedule software and logic highly preferred Work EnvironmentPhysical DemandsAbility to lift a minimum of 50-60lbsAbility to stand for extended periods of time, and safely maneuver around the nearby presence of various construction equipment and vehicles, on an active construction sitePrepared to regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and a variety of outside weather conditionsAble to climb temporary or permanent stairs, and laddersAble to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, balance and stoop, reach on a regular basisSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Voted one of New Hampshire's Best Companies to Work For, Methuen Construction is widely recognized as the most successful, self-performing general contractor in the industry with experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Project Engineers, in addition to other operational teammates and support teams.
