Nutritious Thoughts Outpatient Registered DietitianFull-Time Outpatient Registered Dietitian Position Details:Reports To: Clinical SupervisorSafety Designation: Not Safety SensitiveFLSA Status: Non Exempt (Eligible for Overtime)Supervisory: NoPay: $30.00 per hour with additional benefits and annual raise opportunity Location: AshevilleHendersonville, NC Employees must reside in the state of North Carolina.Start Date: September 9, 2024Job Summary: The Registered Dietitian plays a crucial role in supporting individuals by providing in-depth nutrition assessments and personalized nutritional counseling. The Registered dietitian will provide relational care to support each client. This role is responsible for managing a full-time caseload of clients in an outpatient setting. Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth nutrition assessment for each clientDevelop customized treatment plans based on individuals' goals, taking into account the clients' health conditions, relationship with food and body, budget, and personal preferencesProvide individual and family nutrition education and counseling sessions as neededMonitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their treatment plan to support their journeyCollaboration with clients' team to integrate nutrition care into overall client treatment plansMaintain detailed and timely documentation, including nutrition assessments, treatment plans, and progress notesStay informed of the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition science to ensure the provision of evidence-based careParticipate in company meetings and training sessions as requiredLead one clinical training session per yearAdhere to regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, continuing education, HIPAA privacy, licensure laws, etc.Follow Company Policies and Procedures, including communication response timesEndeavor to meet and maintain company job requirements, including productivity, client retention, meeting attendance, etc.Assist with onboarding and development of newly hired dietitians and clinical interns by inviting them to shadow clinical sessions and provide general support and encouragementEssential SkillsAbility to work autonomously and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to develop rapport with clients on an individual basis through a relational care modelStrong presentation skills and comfortability providing group and classroom-style educationsessionsTime management and organization Proficient in use of Google Workspace, Zoom, Electronic MedicalHealth Records, and other platformsQualificationsRegistered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), Active and in good standingNorth Carolina State Licensure, Active and in good standingOne year of clinical experience in a setting serving a similar clientele, preferred Eligible for or already paneled with commercial insurance providersSchedule Requirements Team members have flexibility in their schedules with the expectation they are meeting the job requirementsSome choose to work eveningsweekends to meet client and personal needsFull Time position requires 18 - 25 hours of completed client sessions per week with a total of 30-40 work hours per weekPhysical RequirementsPosition is mostly sedentary with regular need to traverse throughout the officeOccasional need to lift and carry up to 25 poundsBenefits: Supportive team environment with like-minded cliniciansClinical Supervision: Individual and GroupIn-house Trainings (Provides up to 20 CE hours per year)Continuing Education OpportunitiesAdministrative SupportPaid Time OffRetirement account with up to 3% company matchingAnnual state licensure and annual Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) coveredMedical Benefits offered Liability insurance coveredAbout UsNutritious Thoughts is group practice of dietitians helping people improve their relationship with food through one-on-one nutrition counseling and community connection.
