We are seeking highly motivated, skilled, and collaborative scientists to join our growing biology team. The ideal candidates will be proficient in molecular and cellular biological skills and have a passion for contributing to drug discovery. Applicants with expertise in chemical biology and molecular biology will be given priority. The candidates should enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary team comprised of biologists, translational pharmacologists, medicinal chemists, enzymologists, and DMPK experts working on the development of novel therapeutics.The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated success in these responsibilities:Developing and applying innovative molecular biology and chemical biology methods to enable target validation and small-molecule characterization, with a focus on cell-based assaysDesigning and implementing scalable assays that are integral to the identification of lead moleculesGenerating, analyzing, and interpreting data and communicating resultsSupporting day-to-day laboratory needs including cell culture, maintenance of reagents, organization of inventories and administrative responsibilitiesSupervising research associates and contributing to the coordination of activities at external CROsCultivating a work environment focused on scientific excellence, integrity, and collaborationThe best candidates for this role will have the following qualifications:Ph.D. degree in molecular and cellular biology, chemical biology, or a related field.Demonstrated expertise with molecular biology techniques, "omic" technologies and cell culture is required; facility with mouse models and in vivo pharmacology is a plus.Publication record demonstrating creative applications of genetic, genomic, and molecular biology approaches toward mechanistic understanding of cellular processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate high-level scientific ideas into specific experimental plans.Strong organizational skills and capacity to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Ability to communicate effectively and present scientific data.About UsKojin Therapeutics, Inc. is harnessing groundbreaking discoveries in cell-state and ferroptosis biology to develop first-in-class, oral treatments for use in patients with various forms of cancer, as well as cardiovascular, immunologic, hepatic, and degenerative diseases.
