Currently, we are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC designs.Responsibilities: This role as Senior Mechanical Engineer will focus on a variety of project types, ranging from critical environment healthcare designs to energy performance work and large public infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and addressing the needs of multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Additional responsibilities include:Leading the design and development of HVAC systems for commercial and institutional projects, including healthcare facilities such as operating rooms, CSS, pharmacies, in-patient hospitals, and outpatient facilities, as well as Public Works projects for clients such as DASNY, CUNY, NYS OGS, and NYCHA.Leading a team to conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for system design and retrofitting.Collaborating with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to seamlessly integrate HVAC systems into building designs.Utilizing engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC load calculation tools to create accurate designs and calculations.Performing energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and ensure compliance with energy codes and standards.Providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.Staying updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices in HVAC design and engineering.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's Degree preferred.Professional Engineering (PE) license required.10 - 15 years of industry experience.Proven track record of designing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.Knowledge of NYSNYCInternational Building Codes.Familiarity with Healthcare codes and standards is advantageous.Strong knowledge of building systems and construction methodologies, with experience evaluating diverse facility types.Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.Detail-oriented mindset committed to accuracy and precision.LEED accreditation is a plus.Certified Energy Manager is a plus.We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, and a positive work environment.
