Job Description:

Local process measurement instruments manufacturer needs a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities including systems fabrication and mechanical assembly. Will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs. Conducts studies to maximize work flow and process utilizationDevelop BOM costs for new products. Maintain accurate BOM for all products.Design fixtures for new and existing productsDesign, install and start-up of new equipment and processesParticipates in product launchesDevelops work instructionsDesigns assembly fixtures and manufacturing equipmentWork on plant layout and process improvement projectsReviews production reports and solves manufacturing and maintenance problems, reducing costs and preventing shipping delaysDevelops safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, other Bachelor of Engineering, or four-year degree in a similar field.Five years' experience working in manufacturing, and specifically in the manufacturing of electromechanical devices. Some experience or knowledge about automation, PLC's, in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Experience with welding, brazing, soldering.Experience or knowledge about lean manufacturing, line balancing, process flow.
