This is a key role within our organization working within a collaborative team based selling model.This opportunity is based near a major airport on the West Coast, Minneapolis, CharlotteGreensboro, or Philadelphia area.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:Meet or exceed sales & profitability goals.Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned segment.Develop and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing customers as a trusted advisor.Must understand and articulate technical information in a concise manner.Bring the Voice of Customer back to the Sales and Business Development Manager.Conduct product presentations to showcase the value of our solutions.Collaborate with the technical team during customer projects.Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and contract negotiations.Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive offerings.Manage participation in trade shows & sales meetings as necessary.Provide feedback to improve existing offerings and opportunity areas for new product development.Detailed and accurate forecasting of opportunitiesResponsive to requests and inquiries from internal and external customersGenerate trip reports and utilize Sales Force.Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or business5+ years of technical related direct capital equipment sales experience in processingPrevious experience in the CerealSnackFruitVegetable or Nut Drying IndustryStrong closing skillsDedicated work ethicTechnical competenceExcellent presentation skillsSound knowledge of PC use and applicationsPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Previous use of Sales ForceThermal processing or industrial drying experienceFood processing industry sales experienceKnowledge of Engineering and Manufacturing processesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Sitting in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a munication skills using the spoken word.Ability to see within normal parameters.Ability to hear within normal range.Ability to move about.Ability to physically lift and carry a minimum of 25lbs.Ability to travel.WORKING CONDITIONS:Working conditions are normal for an office environment.LANGUAGE:Required: English Bilingual: Spanish, Mandarin, or Portuguese is a plusADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
