This is an amazing opportunity for entry-level candidates to gain relevant experience!Role Details:Direct Hire!Salary: $63,000-$70,000Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pmThe EHS Safety Specialist is responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety programs. This individual will have specific responsibility for implementation and maintenance of assigned EHS programs.Daily Responsibilities:Assist with the development, evaluation, implementation and administration of EHS, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, and occupational health policies and programsCoach and mentor employees at all levels on safe work place behaviorsProactively work to identify and communicate EHS safety concerns and assist in resolvingCollect, organize, and maintain data and records for EHS permit compliance and reportingConduct, coordinate and participate in EHS inspections and auditsAssist in the preparation and delivery of EHS training to employees, visitors, and contractorsQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in science related fieldWilling to substitute education for experience1-3 years of direct experience in Environmental Health & Safety; ideally in chemical fieldKnowledge of OSHA regulations; specifically, 29 CFR 1910General knowledge of ISO 14001; preferredProficient with MS Office productsMust be willing to travel 10-15% of the timeNesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
