SCIENCE CENTER MANAGERDiscover Science Center is currently accepting applications for a Science Center Manager to join our Peachtree City Team. We offer fun, hands-on science activities in a variety of informal science education programs for K-12 students, including camps, homeschool courses, after-school programs, scout workshops, birthday parties and more. Our ideal Science Center Manager has leadership experience in science education, particularly with an informal science education organization. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations at our center, our ideal candidate can develop relationships with local schools and education partners, and easily step into a teaching role when needed. This is a full-time position available at our Peachtree location with some weekend hoursWe are looking for someone who:·      LOVES kids, has a great attitude, and is passionate about science education.·      Is interested in growing professionally with our expanding business long-term. This is not an opening for a short-term or temporary position.·      Has leadership experience, preferably in an informal science education setting.·      Has scienceSTEM education experience, particularly in elementary education. ·      Is detail-oriented and organized with great follow-through abilities·      Can effectively work in a busy, high-energy environment.·      Is First Aid and CPR certified or willing to get certified.·      Can pass a criminal background check.·      Can positively represent Discover Science Center.Primary responsibilities of this position include:·      Responsibility for day-to-day operations.·      Developing and maintaining relationships with local schools and education partners.·      Collaborating in marketing efforts with our Roswell DSC Team to build our customer base.·      Strategic planning related to keeping our Team engaged and enthusiastic while effectively growing our educational services.·      Mastering lessons for classes and workshops with a willingness to teach when necessary.·      Understanding scientific concepts and teaching these concepts in a fun way to students.·      Effectively communicating with pensation:·      Starting salary $45,000-$47,000 per year (minimum depending on qualifications)·      Health, dental and vision insurance options available (partially compensated).·      Retirement benefit with company match.·      Paid time off.·      Professional development opportunities.·      Camp for children of Team Members and other unique benefits included.About us:Discover Science Center is an informal science education enrichment center whose purpose is to supplement the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) curriculum taught in K-12 schools and homeschool programs.
