Job Description:

LHH is seeking a 1st Shift Production Supervisor for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, IN. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established organization that focuses on having a team-centered work environment and prioritizing customer needs. In this role, you will oversee the manufacturing and assembly operation on 1st shift and lead a team of production associates. The compensation ranges between $62,000-67,000 per year plus bonus and includes comprehensive medical benefit options, a 401k match, and generous PTO and holiday offerings.***H1BVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position***JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead all production staff, evaluate work orders, and assist in creating production schedules to meet customer demandsAttend planning meetings with department leaders prior to production shifts to discuss work order demands, scheduling, and confirm accurate stock levels of all raw materials & packaging components are in place before adding to production scheduleDirect workers in adjusting machines and equipment to ensure products meet standardsRemain in compliance with Quality Assurance and Safety standards at all timesAnalyze and resolve process-related stoppages to prevent production backlogsSolve problems and conduct root cause analysis activities to eliminate recurrence of non-conformance issuesManage change, inventory control, financial analysis and ensure proper distribution of inventory for any discontinued, damaged andor obsolete inventory itemsCommunicate daily movement of materials from production to distribution areasImplement continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) for manufacturing and distribution and for Environmental, Health, and Safety proposesOccasionally work with approved suppliers for product availability, market conditions, and ensures contracts are in place where requiredQUALIFICATIONSA college degree is preferred but not requiredA minimum of 5 years of Production Supervision or Production Team Leader experience within a manufacturing andor assembly environment is requiredExperience with and a strong understanding of productivity, throughput, and KPI reporting is requiredMust have experience using an ERP system and Microsoft ExcelMust have knowledge of quality standards and health & safety practices and regulationsMust be willing to learn, self-motivated, and a positive leader***H1B Sponsorship is not available for this position***If you or someone in your network fit this profile and would like to apply for this 1st Shift Production Supervisor job with a manufacturing client located in Indianapolis, Indiana, please submit your application alongside your resume using the link in this posting.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
