ElectricalControlsAutomation EngineerLocation: Las Vegas, NevadaJob Description:We are seeking an experienced ElectricalControlsAutomation Engineer to take charge of specifying, designing, configuring, testing, supervising, and manufacturing control, electrical, and automation systems. In this role, you will serve as a technical reference for designers and engineering technicians responsible for automation, instrumentation, and control system integrationdevelopment. Additionally, you will provide remote assistance for on-site installation and support of PLCHMIcomputer-based hardware, offer schedule and cost updates to project managers on multi-discipline projects, and maintain effective communication with clients and co-workers. You will report directly to the location manager.Responsibilities and Duties:Designing control systems and instrumentation equipment, including electrical control panels.Conducting analytical assessments and itiating and leading projects independently.Assisting with installation and commissioning tasks (experience preferred but not required).Modifying and upgrading existing systems.Familiarity with PLCSCADA software (Siemens Step 7WinCCTIA Portal, Rockwell AutomationAllen Bradley RSLogix5000 and FactoryTalk is a plus but not required).Background in computer programming (a plus but not required).Understanding of hazardous area equipment and installation requirements (ATEX, IECEx, NEC, NFPA, etc.).Knowledge of DNV, ABS, API, and MODU codesstandards (a plus but not required).Effective communication with clients, co-workers, and management.Qualifications and Skills:Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role; field or industry experience may substitute depending on experience level.Strong interpersonal communication and report writing skills.Proactive problem-solving approach.Proficiency in various computer skills, including the use of MS-Office Suite.Working knowledge of CAD and similar design software.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic & ElectricalControlsInstrumentation Engineering or equivalent experience.Valid US work credentials.Additional Information:Position based in the Las Vegas, Nevadaarea.Travel may be required.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k) with matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8-hour shiftsFlexible hoursMonday to FridayOn-call dutyWeekends as neededApplication Question(s):Do you have working knowledge of CAD andor similar design software?Education:Bachelor's degree (Required)Experience:Electrical equipment in explosive environments: 5 years (Required)Electrical Engineering: 5 years (Required)Instrumentation: 5 years (Required)PLC, HMI, and related hardware: 5 years (Required)Controls, Automation: 5 years (Required)Electrical Panel, Equipment Design: 2 years (Required)VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives): 5 years (Preferred)
