Job Description:

Ordaos is looking for an experienced and ambitious VP of Business Development in the New York City metro area to help us expand our corporate partnerships and negotiate agreements with pharmaceutical companies. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective business development strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting the number of deals signed and forging strong relationships with clients and partners.As the VP of Business Development, you will join a dynamic team of Leaders, Software Engineers, AI Scientists and Biologists and provide support and leadership across our business as it relates to business development. You will report to the CEO, and your role will be to contact, evaluate and negotiate partnerships with other Biotechs and pharmaceutical companies, as well as to strengthen and grow current partnerships. An ideal candidate for this role comes in with a strong rolodex and a proven track-record within a past successful business development role. This will be a hybrid role in the NYC area.ResponsibilitiesLeverage existing network to open doors and drive business growthMaintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to inform strategic decisionsCreate presentations and pitches to facilitate partnering discussionsSource partnership opportunities with potential research partners, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechsDevelop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfactionFacilitate scientific discussions, lead negotiations and close diverse types of agreementsArrange business meetings with prospective clients virtually and at conferences. Be a resource and mentor for scientists and other Ordaos team members so they can be effective communicators and presenters with current and potential partnersCollaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, regulatory affairs) to ensure alignment of business development strategies with company goalsRequirementsMinimum of 10 years experience in a business development role for pharmabiopharmabiotechnologyMS or PhD in a scientific discipline, preferably biology, biotech, or AI-focused OR MBA with extensive experience working in a BD role within the Pharmaceutical industryProven history of success in past business development roles within the pharmaceutical sector. Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals and forming strategic partnershipsDemonstrated ability to develop and implement robust business development strategies that align with corporate goalsComfort and zeal for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a startup setting.
