Electrical Designer and TechnicianPosition SummaryUsing AutoCAD Electrical, prepare electrical schematics from IO list and part list ensuring completeness and accuracy. In addition, perform lay out, assembly and wiring of electrical panels. Assist in debugging and installation of machine andor process control systems.Primary Responsibilities and Job DutiesDraw electrical schematics using proper design practicesPrepare parts lists, bills of material and order partsLay out and wire electrical panels according to schematics and customer specificationsCreate wire lists, wire bundles and label using good workmanship practicesPerform basic testing of electrical systems.Special assignments as requestedWorking knowledge of NFPA, NEC and UL codes. Will provide UL 508A training.With the addition of using Autodesk inventor for back panel and enclosure layouts. (We were not necessarily looking for an engineer to fill this position but technician level for this position.)A minimum of one year of experience with PC-based software such as Word and Excel.Ability to draw electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical software.Ability to us AutoCad Inventor for back panel and enclosure layouts.Experience in machine wiring and panel wiringlayout.Experience using powered hand tools and electrical instruments including soldering iron, voltmeters, drills, saws, etc.Ability to travel to customer facilities for design, installation and service-related activities.Physical DemandsExtended hours sitting and viewing a computer screen.Frequent repetitive handwrist movements.Frequent walking, bending, squatting, reaching and lifting for extended periods of time.Occasional lifting and moving of parts up to 50 pounds waist high.Engineering and programming staff enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a company-provided cell phone and a new laptop every three years.
