SummaryThe Instrument, Controls, and Electrical Discipline Engineer will support the safe design and construction of a greenfield Grain, Oilseeds and Milling facility slated to start construction in Destrehan, LA. The instrumentation, controls and programming are in design at this time. The design and construction must align with strategic initiatives, and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local code requirements in United States. Associated work will include collaboration or leadership of design in concert with engineering contractors for the successful completion of projects. Incumbent will be responsible for participating in many categories of projects, including Engineering, Procurement, Risk, Information Management, Health-Safety-Environment, Quality, Start-UpCommissioning. Provide Instrument and Controls expertise to the Industrial Operations management staff while communicating with stakeholders across a diverse interface map.ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparation andor oversight of the development of Instrumentation, Controls and Automation design.Assure Design for implementation and trouble-free startup.Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and company requirements.Review equipment standardsspecificationsdata sheets and related construction bid packages. Assure system and product quality by defining acceptance requirements.Develop Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test Procedures. Be present for the testing and ensure implementation of any corrective actions.Review and monitor controls on scheduling durations for electrical activities.Assemble periodic project reports and engineering activities.EducationExperienceSkills RequiredBachelor's degree in engineering preferred; Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Technology, or related engineering degree with elements of all of the aforementioned preferred or equivalent work experience in all of the aforementioned areas.Minimum 10 years of combined operations maintenance, operations leadership or construction experience with instrumentation and controls required.A combination of experience in any of the following sectors is required: Power Generation, Industrial Automation Supply, Oilseeds Processing, Agriculture, Biofuels, Pulp and Paper, Food and Beverage, Packaging, or Chemicals. Some experience with grain handling is preferred.Demonstrated project design experience required including participating in projects greater than $50 M TIC that have some degree of I&C components.Exceptional verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills.Demonstrated leadership skills, including stakeholder alignment and interface management.Minimum 5 years of experience working across multiple disciplines.Experience developing logic diagrams, panelhardware design, and operator interface functional outputs.Prior experience developing standards, specifications, and data sheets related to I&C deliverables including, instrumentation and controls, and Rockwell PLC integration required.Design and installation experience with PLC andor DCS systems required, with knowledge of Rockwell hardware and software required.Proven experience analyzing and mitigating project risk; experience with Cause and Effect, Swiss Cheese model of accident causation, or Bowtie method preferred.Prior experience in process control network and balance-of-plant network design and implementation. This to include IT & OT network designs and implementation.Strong knowledge of Hazardous Location rating assessments. Knowledge in NFPA 36 and 61 are a plus along with working knowledge of LOPA and Hazop.Familiar with Project Quality control techniques including Inspection Requirements Specifications and Factory Acceptance Testing.Minimum 5 years of experience working on an owner's team at an operating asset. Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing against precommissioning, commissioning, and startup deliverables. Operational experience in oilseeds, grain handling, milling or chemical processing is a plus.Experienced in using TEAMS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and PowerPointExperienced in using Navisworks 3D viewing software.Software Experience:Rockwell Studio 5000 V30+PlantPAXFactoryTalk View SEMEDrive Executive or CCW
