Job Description:

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for handling assigned cases and conducting intakes. In the role of therapist, they conduct interviews to gather information from clients, identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and formulate therapeutic or treatment plans. Additionally, this team member organizes and leads therapy groups for children and families, plans and administers therapeutic treatments within established professional guidelines, conducts home visits, and counsels clients using accepted methods to provide effective support. Regular consultation with the clinical supervisor, medical doctor, Wellnest peers, and other specialists is undertaken, and the timely completion of required progress notes and paperwork is prioritized. The individual consistently meets or exceeds productivity and timely expectations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Provides trauma-informed psychotherapy groups, family therapy, and collateral sessionsPerforms intakes & assessments in order to determine need for services as well as treatment planWorks flexible and non-traditional hours on a regular basisDevelops, administers, evaluates and modifies therapeutic or treatment plansFacilitates attachment and supports children's early developmental processes with parents or caregivers in their homes, school, community, or onsite at the organizationCollaborates and cooperates with outside child protective or family services workers assigned to children and their familiesAdvocates for parents and children when making outside referrals for servicesEnsures the timely completion of documentation including progress notes using an Electronic Health Record SystemPrvoides field-based services to high risk clientsMeets or exceeds service delivery requirementsRepresents the company at community services, funder events and events related to outreach for clients and supporters of the organizationParticipates in trainings and meetings as assignedOther duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:A master's degree or equivalent (MSW, MA, Ph.D., PsyD, or MS) and clinical experience andor training directly related to children and child counseling. Training directly related to children and child counseling is preferred. (Applicants with less than 1000 hours will be considered.) In keeping with policy for all employees, the successful applicant must also complete a test for TB and fingerprint clearance by the US Department of Justice. A valid CA driver license and an insurable driving record are required. Bilingual Spanish speaking ability is preferred. Current registration with licensing board is required.CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Employee may be asked to pursue additional training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Company. Employee must have the ability to use a personal vehicle with the required insurance coverage to complete the essential duties of their job and conduct agency business. Employee must maintain a valid California driver's license and clean driving record that meets Wellnest's insurance carrier's criteria for liability coverage. In keeping with Company policy for all employees, the successful applicant must also complete a test for TB, and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice. Proof that you will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by your employment start date.
