Position Details:Title: Shop Supervisor and Superintendent roles Location: Conroe, TX (40 miles north of downtown Houston)Schedule: 1st shift (7:00a - 3:30p Mon-Fri), 2nd shift (3:30p - midnight Mon-Fri) Weekend shift (7a - 7p Fri-Sun) Compensation: Superintendent roles: Target base salary ~$80K - $90KSupervisor roles: Target base salary ~$70K - $80KBonusesAdditional Compensation: Performance review at 6 months to determine raise potential; eligible for annual performance incentive bonuses. These are ideal career opportunities for a recently transitioned JMO or Sr NCO, especially with LEAN, manufacturing or warehouse distribution experience, or a civilian candidate with some supervisory experience in a production machining fabrication environment. As a Welding Superintendent you will oversee and drive operations for an entire department (Welding), and you will report directly to the Shift Production Manager. Some specific responsibilities include: a culture of Safety and accountability around all Teams as well as individual work assignments.to all quality standards within the department.production output support the production schedule.production output meets all applicable quality requirements.human resource tasks such as recruiting, performance management, training and development, recognition, time management and corrective action.manufacturing area supplies and equipment; initiate purchasing requests as needed.LEAN principles by identifying and perusing opportunities for improvement.the concepts of 5S by maintaining clean & organized work areas with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency & utilization.assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work.employee performance and opportunities for improvement.
