Job Description:

NEW!! Reception Office Assistant, Investments, Boston 3 days in-office, 2 remoteAbout the CompanyRole: well-established boutique investment management firm, with a hybrid office setting, and a well-balanced 9-5 workday. This is a stable environment, with exceptional longevity across the organization. The firm has a lovely corporate receptionist who's been with the firm 10 years and this available role is a 2nd seat- and office assistant capacity- available due to promotion! The two roles rotate ownership of the incoming phones every two hours- even on remote days, so there's time to focus on other things. What you'll do: you'll have a varied role including reception, office operations, hospitality, and event planning functions along with ad hoc projects and in-house client service. You'll share the in- person welcoming of the firm's high net worth clients, as well as sharing responsibility for answering main line phones and fielding questions finding information as needed for incoming client inquiries. There will be a significant amount of document scanning and saving - a lot of this will be done on your remote workdays. You'll open and close the office, so being reliable is crucial! You'll also have the opportunity to pick up and run various projects that arise. About you: you have at some prior reception, administrative, client service, andor hospitality experience (in school employment, summer job, internship all count!)- or transferable skills from another career such as teaching or social work. Ideally, you live in close proximity to downtown Boston, so that you're able to open the office on those bad weather days if needed. You're flexible, collaborative, service oriented, and a problem solver. Importantly, the firm is looking for a 2-year commitment in the role- there's potential to be considered for other roles after that if appropriate opportunities open up- that could be in areas such as compliance, investment team client service, etc. - former employees in this role have moved into various capacities. You have a bachelor's degree, excellent organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel). Start date- ideally prior to May 20 but if it's slightly after that could still work.
