PISTOLA believes that high-quality denim is for everyone, forever.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role as a RTW Design Assistant at PISTOLA Denim. The Assistant Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design process, including sketching, sourcing materials, creating technical packages, and collaborating with the design team. They will also be responsible for assisting in sample fittings, maintaining design documentation, and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers.Position Responsibilities:Reports to the Senior RTW Designer.Research concepts and create and maintain sketch boards.Create and update tech packs for development.Logging and organizing seasonal development information for denim categories.Weekly, communicate revisions of seasonal development to our overseas partners.Daily maintain communication with outside vendors and track via the WIP report.Log in and prep, maintain samples going to outside vendors.Attend, prep, and recap development meetings and fittings. Create clear notes on design updateschanges.Create and maintain visual merchandising boards for Design.Sample management (FitProtoPP Samples).Prep and organize samples for seasonal photoshoots.QualificationsBachelor or associate degree in apparel designProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)Strong experience in sketching and creating technical packs (Excel and PLM systems)Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and production processesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in the fashion industry is a plusHighly motivated and eager to learn!This position is in office 5 days a week
