Job Description:

Our client a brand-new Café, and the latest addition to the Americana Mall, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Café Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operations of our inaugural café. As the first of its kind, this café promises an exciting opportunity for a passionate manager to establish and nurture a unique dining experience within the prestigious setting of the Americana Mall. This position will be on site in the Manhasset location.Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per yearResponsibilities: Oversee all aspects of café operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory management, and financial performance.Recruit, train, and supervise café staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.Develop and maintain a positive working environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and exceptional customer service.Coordinate with the regional managers and HR to conduct interviews and hire suitable candidates.Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including maintaining a valid NASSAU food handling license.Collaborate with the team to finalize the café menu, emphasizing Italian cuisine, pastries, and specialty coffee offerings.Manage food and beverage procurement, inventory control, and vendor relationships.Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.Implement strategies to optimize café efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.Oversee daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and cleanliness standards.Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.Assist in the development of marketing initiatives and promotional events to drive café traffic and revenue.Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to café operations.Required Qualifications:Previous experience in café or restaurant management, preferably in a fast-paced environment.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.Knowledge of Italian cuisine, pastry, and coffee culture is highly desirable.Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures, including possession of a valid NASSAU food handling license.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale systems.Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.The Solomon Page Distinction Our teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
