This is why so many of our clients return to us "”they understand the benefit of a personalized, hands-on approach to representation. THE POSITIONPorter Law Firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate attorney to help support the section. The position will report to the Firm's managing partner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKSTheir primary job duties shall include the following:Communication with ClientsDraft and review leases, purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, deeds, etc.Review purchase and sale agreements, due diligence, monitor contingencies, review and prepare title objections, survey and environmental reviews, and closing documents and wire transfers Negotiate leases and amendmentsPrepare and pursue judicial foreclosuresDraft and review complex operating agreements and bylaws, shareholders' agreements, master service and service level agreements, private placement memorandums, indemnity agreements, and other client contracts.Draft correspondence on behalf of landlords to commercial tenants' management and counsel relating to claims, defenses, and other disputes arising under lease agreements.Provide assistance to senior-level attorneys, senior paralegals, and staff members, review and preparation of documents, reports, and correspondence.Effectively organize and maintain case and client files.Monitor and calendar case deadlines.Conduct legal research, prepare legal opinions, and court briefingsBilling Requirements: 30-40 hoursweekDESIRED QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAt least 2 years of experience as a Commercial Real Estate attorneyLicensed to practice in Texas and the Southern District of TexasProficient with MS OfficeAble to maintain a full-time, in-person working schedule and hit billing minimumsStrong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities under deadlinesStrong writing and communication skills with attention to detailApproachable, customer service mentality Ability to multi-task, quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced work environmentMust be able to sit, stand, navigate stairs, occasionally lift up to 20 poundsThe ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.BENEFITSFull-time position, paid time off, collegial working environment, 401K program
