Job Description:

Duties:Serve as a vital member of the patient-centered healthcare team, responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, and assisting with procedures.Provide support in delivering discharge instructions and perform other duties as assigned.Collaborate with the healthcare provider throughout the patient's visit to ensure optimal care and a positive patient experience.Play a crucial role in helping patients feel at ease during their interactions with the healthcare team.Cross-train and float as needed to contribute to the maintenance of optimal clinic operations.Skills:Preferred one to two years of clinical experience.Obtain American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent within 90 days of hire.Prefer certification through the AAMA or an equivalent certification board.Ability to adapt and float as necessary to meet clinic operational needs.Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate Diploma or Certificate).A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate diploma or Certificate) or Military MedicCorpsman training. Three (3) years of formal on-the-job Medical Assistant experience is required in addition to education.Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
