Job Description:

Our client, is an industry leader in the U.S. life insurance sector, and a subsidiary of a prominent global investment firm. They are seeking to onboard an Actuary Platform Developer who will collaborate with the Actuary team, IT data team, and primary vendor to oversee data development, support, and administration for their Actuarial ModelingData Management Platform. ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with Actuary Model Development to fulfill data requirements for models.Working with Actuary Valuation to support model analytics and approval workflow.Defining backlog items and requirements for IT Data team and other supporting IT areas.Acting as the primary administrator of the Actuarial Modeling Platform, managing necessary administrative tasks.Conducting regular maintenance, updates, fixes, and upgrades, ensuring optimal performance.Providing training to new and existing users on current and future functionality.Managing and resolving incidents, providing support to users, and troubleshooting platform issues.Providing on-call assistance for after-hours issues and support needs.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Skills:Proficiency in multiple programming languages.Understanding of Life and Annuity insurance (preferred).Ability to comprehend business requirements and work independently.Experience working with technology vendors and Actuaries (bonus).Proficiency in data management with understanding of data flows across platforms.Familiarity with GitLab.Experience:8+ years' experience in Data IntegrationManagement.Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred).General understanding of SAS programming.Experience with Azure HD, Azure Data Factory, and PowerBI.
