Job Description:

Frame48 () is a 3D motion design studio. We produce animated content for industry-leading brands and agencies. Located in Culver City, our facilities are home to artists and creatives at the forefront of design and graphics technology.We are looking for an assistant editor to join our team in the production of all content at the studio. The position will work closely with our supervisor in preparing, organizing, and managing the post-production pipeline. This role is similar to that of a traditional assistant editor, with a heavy emphasis in project management for visual effects.ResponsibilitiesTranscode raw camera files for integration into editing projects.Prepare footage for various post-production processes, including editorial, sound, visual effects, and color grading.Conduct quality control checks to ensure all delivered assets meet industry standards.Generate multiple versions of assets as per client specifications, including tailored versions for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat.Archive and retrieve projects using the studio's LTO tape library.Manage shot-tracking applications (e.g., ShotGrid) for visual effects artists.Embed captions and prepare accessibility files when anize and clean projects prior to archiving.Supervise the uploading and delivery of final files via FTPs and client pile short reels and manage social media content for Frame48 and its associated directorsartists, when requested.Assist the team wherever needed on creative, technical, artistic, and general duties.RequirementsMinimum of 2 years-experience working as an assistant editor.Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve.Proficiency with both Windows and MacOS.Strong QC terest in the technicalbackend side of the post-production pipeline.Ability to prep both audio and picture for finish in-house as well as external facilities.Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the fly.Proficiency in grouping clips, syncing dailies, AMA workflows, overcutting.Understanding of frame rates, conversions, codecs & formats.Highly fortability with managing multiple projects at once.Exemplary problem solving skills and detailed oriented.Understanding of editorial and color pipeline. VFX is a plus, but will be taught.Knowledge of Python is encouraged, but not required.
