Job Description:

Position DescriptionTechnical support in the development of opportunities incorporating products and services done through a consultative, solutions approach demonstrating technical expertise and building customer credibility. Designs, implements and monitors new processes and continuously improves existing processes to meet customer needs and the overall strategic business plan. Coordinates designs and projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, evaluate and improve manufacturing itiate and assist in the development of new products and processes.Design experiments to identify, evaluate and optimize relationships between process parameters, quality and cost-effectiveness.Confer with management and supervision to ensure efficient production methods.Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements: for establishing and striving to improve process cycle times and identifying and driving process improvement initiatives.Must have strong interpersonal skills and working relationships to work well with cross-functional teams Lead technical interface between customer; and developmentvalidation groups globally.Develop project plans and liaise with customers in moving projects forward.Define the product application and performance requirements.Prepare technical documentation for communication to internal and external customers to communicate actions to be taken and technical requirements with a high level of accuracy.Domestic and International travel may be requiredRequirements AttributesBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 7 years' professional work experience in wire drawing or comparable metals experienceSolid understanding and knowledge of electrical, mechanical and chemical processes and principlesSound problem-solving and decision-making skillsDetail-oriented with excellent planning and organization skills - able to prioritizeMotivated individual who needs little or no guidanceAbility to work in a team environmentMust have strong project management skills, PMP (Project Management Professional certification preferred)Knowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma principles and concepts; Black Belt certification is preferredKnowledge and experience in ISO 9001;2015 andor IATF 16949 is preferredProficient computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCADWHY Copperweld?STRONG Business OutlookComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision PlansPAID Time off & Holidays401k matchingLife and Disability Insurance Employer Assistance ProgramGreat Place to Work Certified!
