Please callemail with most recent resume:949.529.5915*MUST HAVE benefits administration experience**Please DO NOT apply if currently unable to commute daily to the Costa Mesa area*Human Resources Manager - Costa Mesa, CASUMMARYLeading specialty construction organization focused on addressing environmental challenges as well as restoring sensitive habitats and waterways across California currently looking to directly hire a full time Human Resource Manager with a strong HR Management and benefits administration background to support company objectives by serving as a front-line advisor on HR related issues including policiesbest practices as well as lead benefits planprogram research, analysis, and projects for our Costa Mesa office supporting 140+ employees company wide.The ideal candidate will be responsible to coordinate human resources activities including but not limited to employment and employee relations while also serving as SME for anything benefits related.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide direction to field staff on Company related policies and procedures.Be a resource and help field staff locate requested info within the Handbook or systems resources.Handle Employee Relations calls from current and former employees.Research and resolve employee concerns regarding compensationpay rate, time off with pay accruals, or personal inforecord updates. Audit weekly reports and data and follow up as necessary.Support the coordination of employee separation paperwork (including, where applicable, timely coordination of preparation of Final Pay), processing the change in the system and sending out post-separation municate and implement new HR programs and policies; handbookpolicy updates; etc.Administers and communicate all employee benefit programs to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, FSA, 401(k) retirement plan, and Aflac benefit offeringsEnsured the organization benefit programs are competitive, cost-effective, and satisfied the needs of employees.Partners with Insurance Broker and Carriers to resolve benefit issuesManages web-based enrollments directly on carrier portal and in payroll system to ensure timely membership ID cards are processed and contribution deductions are set up for payrollManage Open Enrollment and the daily operations of company benefits and retirement plans and utilizing positive professional relationships brokers, carriers, third party administrators and colleagues to maximize a positive employee experience.Lead company-wide benefit planprogram research, analysis and projects. Collaborate with Leadership team to implement changes or new programs, partnerships, or streamline administration processes.Coordinates with benefits vendors for timely processing, billing, and payment of monthly invoices. Perform periodic audits as neededAnswers employee questions regarding benefit plans in a timely mannerCoordinate annual 401(k) retirement plan audits and compliance requirementsEnsure ongoing compliance of our plans and accurate filing of 5500s and other required filingsProvide support for all aspects of leave, accommodation and modified duty programs. Including applying my knowledge and experience to manage FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL,ADAFEHA (including the Interactive Process) leaves.Point of contact for all employee leaves of absence from initial leave inquiry to completion of leave as well as providing all required documentation (leave eligibility letter, designation and approval letter, extension letter, leave exhaust letter, etc.).Point of contact for all manager inquiries regarding employee leave status.Managed COVID-related time off in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including SPSL, management of vaccine documentation, and related health and safety issues related to COVID policies in the workplace.Create and execute a talent acquisition strategy aligned with Company's business objectives and culture in order to meet aggressive hiring goals, with a focus on proactive sourcing (e.g. social networking, internet research, cold calling, regular networking at events and conferences).Manage efficient, fast-paced, full cycle recruiting operations which support Company's rapid hiring growth.Manage the requisition approval process and allocate open requisitions appropriately to external agencies as needed.Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree preferred andor 4+ years' related HR Management experiencetraining.Previous experience in managing group insurance benefits is a must.Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project).Ability to work in a team environment.Experience with construction ERP software is preferred (ex. Vista Viewpoint ERP)Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done.Effective oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.Excellent customer relations skills.
