COPY EDITOR-FACT CHECKEREncyclopí¦dia Britannica is a global educational publisher with products that promote knowledge and learning. Britannica's mission is the same today as it's been since its first encyclopedia was published in 1768: to create products that inspire confidence, with content people can trust.We currently have two full-time openings for a Copy Editor-Fact Checker.Location: Chicagoland, hybrid schedule (Can Be Remote)Qualifications:B.A. or B.S. required.3-4 years copy editing and fact checking experience preferred.Position requires excellent grammar and usage skills, an eye for detail, and strong communication skills. Comfort with both digital and print publications required.Familiarity with social media, Microsoft Word and Excel andor Google Docs and Google Sheets, content management systems, and XML editors a plus.Responsibilities:Copy editing and fact checking reference articles and other types of content for style, content, accuracy and consistency, grammar, and spelling.Some ProofreadingOther information:A cover letter with your resume should be submitted as one document.
