Job Description:

The Network Administrator, under the guidance of the Senior Systems Analyst and Administrator, holds a pivotal role in guaranteeing the smooth operation of Business Unit (BU) data and local area networks (LAN), both on-site and off-site, within a 24x7 operational environment. This position entails close collaboration with all levels of the organization to deliver exceptional support to the user community.Responsibilities:• Oversee system and network administration to maintain day-to-day operations and uninterrupted user access. • Install, configure, and maintain all networking components within the Business Unit. • Monitor error logs and address user-reported network issues promptly to sustain reliable system performance. • Assess network and system performance metrics such as availability, utilization, throughput, and latency. • Provide end-user support within the BU environment and offer recommendations for performance enhancement. • Collaborate with the Corporate security team to mitigate risks, including system patching, upgrades, and configuration changes. • Manage Active Directory and ERPMovex user data, ensuring compliance with company policies for data backups and system testing. • Communicate project updates and critical milestones promptly. • Create and update documentation, including procedural guides and network diagrams. • Manage IT inventory and plan hardware replacements within budget constraints. • Support VMware servers, including health monitoring, patching, and troubleshooting. • Coordinate with internet service providers (ISPs) to address bandwidth and network connectivity issues. • Facilitate procurement processes, liaise with IT vendors, and manage IT equipment orders.Requirements:• Hold a post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. • Possess 7-10 years of experience as a Network Administrator, with 3-5 years specifically in VMware administration. • Demonstrate proficiency in VMware vSphere, Microsoft Server operating systems (2016 and above), and configuration of managed network devices. • Have familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint. • Exhibit experience in disaster recovery operations and management of virtual desktop infrastructure. • Showcase a proven track record in project management across various scales.Working Conditions: • Work in a professional office environment with minimal noise. • Occasional travel within Canada and the United States may be required.
