The Maintenance Manager oversees daily activities of the maintenance staff including mechanics and electricians, supports all productionfacility equipment and teams, expands and executes the preventative maintenance program, coordinates corrective maintenance activities, procures and maintains plant critical spares, and maintains the facility in top condition.Here's a breakdown of the key responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations outlined in the job description:Position Summary:- Overseeing Daily Activities: Managing mechanics and electricians across shifts, ensuring adherence to safety and GMP practices.- Maintenance Planning: Scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities based on plant needs and production schedules.- Collaboration: Working closely with production departments to optimize uptime on manufacturing equipment.- Preventative Maintenance: Expanding and refining the preventative maintenance program, coordinating with vendors and OEMs.- Spare Parts Management: Identifying critical spare parts, maintaining inventory, and ensuring availability for production equipment.- Documentation: Maintaining maintenance logs, creating a digital library of equipment manualsdocumentation.- Training: Developing training programs and SOPs for maintenance staff.- Shutdown Planning: Planning major periodic maintenance activities and coordinating scheduling with relevant departments.Qualifications:- Experience: 8+ years in industrial maintenance management or equivalent, preferably in the plastics industry.- Skills: Knowledge of various maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc. Strong computer skills.- Safety: Strong safety knowledge and adherence to safety requirements.- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.- Problem-solving: Exceptional problem-solving ability and timeworkflow management skills.- Autonomy: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.Supervisor Responsibility:Direct supervision over all hourly maintenance mechanics and electricians.Work Environment:The position requires working in a manufacturing warehouse environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise.Physical Demands:The role involves standing for long periods, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds, and engaging in various physical activities.Position TypeExpected Hours of Work:Full-time, salaried, exempt, day shift position with occasional flexibility in work hours.Other Duties:The job description may evolve over time, and additional duties may be assigned as needed.Overall, this role demands a combination of technical expertise, managerial skills, and adaptability to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance department and the broader manufacturing pensation Details:Our client offers a competitive salary range of $100k-120k and strong benefits included.
