JOB SUMMARY: The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing a team of 4-6 benefit administrators, managing, and communicating benefit programs for Securitas North America (USA, Canada, Mexico), and reports to the Senior Director of Benefits, North America. This role oversees benefit program administration, compliance, education and includes implementing new or amended benefit programs or changes to current entitlements andor policies. The role manages operational activities and compliance of the assigned programs, and vendor relationships. This role provides program analysis and recommendations to management as needed. We are looking for someone to join our award-winning team at the WOC located in Westlake Village, CA.BenefitsDepending on experience, Securitas will offer a total compensation package between $145K - $155K, in addition to a full benefits package that includes:Medical insurance, Life insurance, Dental, and Vision10 accrued vacation days, 4 floating holidays, 6 sick daysResponsibilities (include but not limited to):Team Management: Lead a team of up to 6 benefit administrators. Develop and evaluate team to ensure the efficient operation of the team, responsible for performance, salary actions, disciplinary actions, coaching, counseling, and training of team.Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the North America benefits program offerings such as administration of the plans and policies, including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, COBRA, disability, wellness initiatives and other fringe benefits.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with benefit vendors, including insurance providers, wellness service providers, and other external partners. Evaluate vendor performance and ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of pliance and Risk Management: Stay abreast of federal, state, provincial and local regulations governing employee benefits programs. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and FMLA. Mitigate risks by conducting data audits, maintaining accurate records, and implementing appropriate controls. Ensure all programs comply with applicable collective bargaining agreements. Work with internal legal and ERISA council as appropriate.Employee Communication and Education: Develop communication strategies to educate employees about available benefits, enrollment procedures, and changes to the program. Provide personalized guidance to employees regarding their benefit options and assist with resolving any issues or concerns.Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data related to benefits utilization, costs, and employee demographics. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.Employee Assistance: Assist employees with insurance plan enrollment, eligibility, coverage, and status change questions. Transmit enrollment data to vendors and resolve problems with plan representatives.Employee Engagement Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement wellness programs, employee assistance programs, and other initiatives aimed at promoting employee health, well-being, and work-life balance.Qualifications:EducationExperienceBackgroundBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CEBS, PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in benefits administration for a multinational corporation, with at least 5 years of managerial -depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and industry trends in North America.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.Proven track record of vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost control.Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive employee engagement and satisfaction.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration software (e.g., Oracle (preferred), Workday, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors).KnowledgeSkillsAbilities:Comprehensive knowledge of benefit plans principles and practices, as well as state and federal government regulations, compliance & operations.Strong analytical skills and understanding of actuarial concepts and problem-solving skills, to assess, identify problems and escalate when necessary.A track record of building strong relationships and people partnership skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to participants, vendor partners and broad level of internal stakeholders.High level of attention to detail.Proven ability to develop and monitor processes to ensure plan management is of the highest quality.Proven project management skills.Strong ability to present information in an objective and logical manner for effective decision making as well as strong negotiation and influencing ability.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, 'hands-on' environment.Ability to maintain confidential information.Knowledge of Canadian benefit plans an asset.If joining our management team sounds like the right fit for you, please click apply today!Company Website: MFVetDisabilities
