Job Description:

Sr. Piping Designer - Richmond, VA$80,000 to $120,000 AnnuallyResponsibilities:Utilize Computer Aided Design (CAD) and various software to model, coordinate and prepare detailed drawings for mechanical systems.Generate mechanical pipe models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFI's, and modeling corporate and manage current updates to drawings, models, specifications, RFI's, change orders, and submittals as the project progresses.Collaborate with the build and design team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws.Manage time and multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline environment.Work with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify problems and help make informed decisions.Generate and communicate information for RFI's specific to the projects and trade.Generate and manage spools, drawings for prefabrication, site installationmap drawings, and control documentation.Qualifications:5-7 years of experience in the mechanical piping and process pipe trade andor equivalent combination of vocational training.OR 5+ years of BIM experience using Revit, Fabrication of CAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage.Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).Must adhere to all company policy and procedures.May require infrequent travel (typically not overnight).Prior military experience (preferred). HS diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
