About usThis position is for experienced reading teachers who are literacy specialists and have experience teaching young students decoding phonics and reading comprehension in person. If you meet the qualifications, are looking for part-time contract work, and have 2-6 hours a week to dedicate to our company, we encourage you to apply after reading the description.Our company strives to provide our clients with teacher tutors who can provide rigorous and engaging lessons online while being culturally responsive. The ideal tutor has experience tailoring our lessons to meet the academic needs of the students while also making them culturally responsive to ensure students feel seen. The tutor will guide students to improve their academic performance through extended lessons, creative teaching, and interactive materials. We are looking for a seasoned teacher who can support Tier 2 and 3 reading students in a small group format. We work with students grades 1st-4th. We currently need the most help with elementary school classes.Tutor Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnhance teaching materials and tailor them to meet student's specific academic needs.Identify student needs and adapt.Someone who can make the lessons culturally relevant for our studentsDocument Student progressHave classroom management and insight on how to engage a small group of students in personProfessionally:· Show up to client's appointments early and prepared with lessons· Tutor should have the ability to customize the given curriculum based on the specific needs of each studentTutor Requirements and Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in education, master's preferred· Must be able to conduct a brief demo lesson in person· Available 3:00-6:30 CST Monday-Friday· Strong organizational skills· Efficient time management· Creative and able to foster a fun learning environmentCheck out our website at
